Consumer tee-time alerting product

A consumer alerting product that notifies golfers the moment a booked-out tee time frees up, built for a US tee-time business.

What I did

Framed booking as a reservation problem and scoped the first release tightly.
Chose Auth0 for sign-in and designed the crawler service to onboard courses in batches.
Led the project and wrote the embeddable widget plan, estimate and architecture notes.

2022 · Consumer tee-time alerting product

Situation: A golf booking product planned a paid tier with automated slot booking, and the instinct was to build the feature first.
Task: Lead the product from architecture to launch, treating many users contending for one slot as the hard part.
Action: I framed it as a reservation system, put consistency over latency until payment clears and the slot is held, and deferred automated booking.
Result: The product launched on schedule to its user base, with the concurrency design in place before contention arrived.
